Fishermen's Inn is operated under a special use permit with the Tongass National Forest.
The Tongass National Forest, is a forest of islands, trees and rain - a lot of: islands, trees and rain. It also abounds in animals, birds and fish; with unsurpassed scenery and hardy people. It’s a place where eagles are commonplace, most roads are deer crossings, and bears use the trails - too. The Tongass is a wild place, where the natural world has a strong presence which nurtures spiritually and materially demanding respect.
